12:03a (MONDAY!) :D
Okay, well, all in all, it was an alright weekend. Of course, the number 22 will forever haunt me now. That was my lucky (not) number this weekend. Every container I came across had items from that department. As usual on Sundays, I've been up since 3, and went to work and sweated my ass off for 13 hours. I don't say 13 very often! I usually end up getting sent home early depending on our work load, so for me to say 13 hours is a blessing! :)
They shut us down at 6, which is usually the time I'm supposed to get off. Our whole area was put to work doing housekeeping (throwing trash, sweeping the entire floor, getting rid of stuff that doesn't belong, blah, blah, blah), which wasn't so bad, except my feet were killing me, and it was my Friday. My check will be damn happy, though, and plus I got to make up some hours from last Sunday that I didn't know I could do until our meeting this morning! The warehouse is awesome in its own way, and I'm finding out all these little tidbits as I go along. Working at the store, I felt so limited, and now, it's so different...things I couldn't do before, that I can do now. Wow!
Around 7, our boss dismissed us. Freedom! Took almost an hour to get home. I ate, and spent an hour catching up on facebook posts. Half of that was from the storms in the Plains on Saturday. Amazing videos and pictures. And of course, prayers go out to those who lost their lives in the storms. I finally decided to take a shower around 10..and was surprised I didn't do that first thing when I got home. Oh well. No way was I planning on getting into my bed all sweaty and dirty. Yuck.
So why hasn't exhaustion hit me yet? I nearly fell back asleep this morning (always set your alarm twice, kids!). Had to take a 5 hour energy just to be sure I was alert enough to drive, something I usually don't break out until midday, when the heat hits me and I start feeling sluggish. I have no clue...but I'm not going to make the mistake of going to lay down this time. I'll just entertain myself with youtube until I finally hit that wall. Yes, I know...I'm bad. :P
One of my friends asked me to come visit her this week..I may take her up on that offer. I don't get to see her that often, and I hope when I eventually move (it's going to happen!), I will get to see her more often. We'll see what the rest of the week has in store. :)
And speaking of walls..i wanted this to be longer, I had more stuff to put in here..but now I can't even type this...ugh! haha Well, maybe next time I'll learn to shut my big mouth. :P
Peace out, peeps...I'm off to sleep. Monday, am I glad to see you. :D

It's looking better. :D

My week off didn't start off so well. Although I didn't plan on getting released so early at work on Sunday, it was still nice to have the afternoon off. I found a not so nice surprise later on that night. Why I don't keep up with these things is beyond me. Lesson learned! I had woken up at 2:45 that morning to check a couple of things on the internet before leaving for work, and the tiredness was already catching up to me, now I had that lovely gift on top of it. I passed out somewhere around midnight, completely dead. That's what I get for laying down. I woke up two hours later to find my computer had shut itself off (something I've set it up not to do). I was wide awake again by this point, so I turned it back on and proceeded to mill around for another two hours. So if you don't count a nap (and I'm not), I was pretty much up over 24 hours. I haven't stayed awake past 4am in a very long time. :)
I woke up Monday morning, already feeling like shit and having made the decision I wasn't doing a damn thing, when I heard my mom yell. She was outside in the flowerbed, so I thought she'd seen a snake (it's happened before). I went outside to find 5 baby kittens wrapped up in the flowerbed! The mother cat had shot off like a rocket. There were three black ones, and one grey and one orange one. They had just been born; their eyes weren't even open yet. They were so little! We could hear them meowing. My mom got on the phone and called our local vet. They could not take the kittens that young. So she called a couple of places in Baytown. Just about everyone told us that without the mother, the babies would more than likely be put down, as they require so much care, and so often, that they would need the mother for that.
We finally got a hold of animal control, and the guy said he'd come by and pick up the kittens, but that it would be the same situation without the mother. Of course we were heartbroken, here were these cute kittens that hadn't done anything to deserve that fate, but what else could we do? We had no way of taking care of cats, much less kittens. So my dad put them in a box with a towel, and they seemed to calm down. A while later we could tell they were hungry, they were making sucking noises. The mother cat did in fact come back, but there was no way we could catch her. She's a stray that has been wandering around for a couple of years. A wild cat.
Eventually, AC came and picked up the kittens and offered to set up a trap for us if we needed it. We told him we'd keep an eye out. Again, the mother came back and looked in the flowerbed. She knew the kittens weren't there, but the AC guy was telling us if we'd left the babies out there, she'd have come and taken off with them in a hurry. Eight weeks later, we'd have even more cats running around, so we did the right thing. I just really hope that there was at least SOMETHING they could have done for the kittens before they'd even consider putting them to sleep. They really were cute.
I'm looking forward to the next few weeks for many different reasons. My sister is going to be helping me look for an apartment, and I'm hoping things at work keep getting better. I'll be updating as much as I can. Or if I don't forget, which I tend to do. A lot.
Thanks for watching, folks. Now go home. I'm sick of looking at you! ;D

I'm too tired to think of a title.
Music: Sofi Needs A Ladder, by Deadmau5
11pm
It's been a VERY long day. Not a very good start, either. We have some neighbors down the street with motorcycles. LOUD motorcycles. Of course, everyone in this God-forsaken subdivision owns a damn motorcycle. Guess they don't realize we don't live in the boonies. *rolls eyes* So at 2:45 this morning, one of said neighbors decided they'd rip that sumbitch up and down my street, and right outside my bedroom. I was already semi-awake for whatever reason, but after hearing that, yeah. They say it's not good to look at the clock when you wake up in the middle of the night, and I didn't, but I had a feeling it was almost time to get up (I wake up at three on weekends to go to work). Why would that happen at any other time? :P Sure enough, right before I fell asleep again, there goes my alarm. Ugh. People have no respect...hence why they decided to get drunk and race motorcycles at 3am. On a Sunday.
At work, I was paired with one of the newer guys. After two days of working with him, I decided that after his many attempts to kill me (he raised up a dock plate while I was still standing on it, not giving me any warning he was about to raise it up, nearly smacked me in the face twice while unloading very heavy boxes, and almost running me over with a jack), I decided I'd let him unload today by himself. I did my share, but when it came time to do his, I turned around and walked out of the trailer. I confronted him about the issue yesterday: didn't seem to do any good apparently. I was never happier when we were finished with the trailer, and I got to go help one of the girls with hers. He went off and bugged someone else, another girl I don't like. haha. No April Fools, here, kids.
Later on, we had the task of fixing freight, and making sure everything was where it was supposed to be. None of it was, but we all got to stay and work a regular schedule, and everyone was very happy to have gotten their hours. My body was so tired from all of the work, but it will be worth it when I see the check next weekend. :)
On weekends, I get to work really early, number one to be sure I'm on time, and number two, to beat (for the most part) all the maniacs on the road. I sit in my car for a good 30 minutes listening to the radio, or a CD. Lately it's been all trance. I don't even know why I bring the other CD's. I just recently discovered Sirius XM's trance channel, Electric Area. If you have Sirius, go check it out. I've found that they play the best stuff in the morning, IMO. Last week, on my day off, I had the online trance.fm playing from the time I woke up until I went to bed. I've found so many songs in the past week alone worth a second listen (or three or four, or ten), that I had to create a second playlist on my YouTube channel. I love it. :D
So, yeah, random stuff, kinda boring. More to come when things get more interesting! Or whatever. :P
I'm off the next four days. Peace out, suckers. I've been up nearly 24 hours. I'm going to bed.
